Mrs Emma Ives
Assistant Principal
Emma is a dynamic educator and evaluator who will be joining the Jumeirah College team in August 2024. With a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership, she brings a blend of theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience to ensure a comprehensive approach to fostering excellence in education.
Driven by her passion for sports, Emma pursued qualifications as a personal trainer and exercise coach; ultimately completing her undergraduate degree in Sports Science and Coaching. Following this, Emma completed her Post Graduate Certificate in Education and started her teaching journey in Northern Ireland in 2009. Since then, Emma has actively driven positive change and continuously enhanced learning experiences for both educators and students.
Having relocated to the U.A.E in 2013, Emma has established and led P.E. departments, worked as a school inspector, and spearheaded school improvement initiatives as an Assistant Headteacher. She advocates for cognitive science-based pedagogy and is committed to fostering both personal and professional development in education.
