Ms Megan Scott

Having always known I wanted to be a secondary school teacher, I studied an undergraduate in Drama, Theatre and Performance studies at University of Roehampton, London, graduating in 2017. I then went on to study my PGCE at University of Reading in Drama teaching.

I worked as a Drama teacher in Surrey, UK, for 4 years. During this time, I was Acting Head of Drama (maternity cover) for a year as well as being promoted to a Head of Year and undertaking the role for two years. Having had experience in both departmental and pastoral pathways, I quickly learned that my passion lies in the pastoral care and the well-being of young people.

I relocated to Dubai in August 2023 to join the dynamic Drama department at Jumeirah College, thoroughly enjoying teaching the creative and committed students.

I was delighted to be promoted to a Head of Year at JC for the academic year 2024/25. I strive to support students to be the best versions of themselves, both personally and academically. My utmost priority is to ensure that students are safe and happy both in and outside of school, as well as helping to guide students to success, in whatever capacity that may be for the individual.
