Ms Cara Enright

Head of Year 9

Cara graduated in 2016 with a 2.1 in a Bachelor of Biological and Chemical Sciences with concurrent teacher education from the University of Limerick. In her final year of University Cara was nominated for the “Student teacher placement award” having attained two A*s in her teacher training placements.

Upon graduating Cara moved to an Outstanding Selective Grammar school in High Wycombe. She taught Biology, Chemistry and Physics in Wycombe High School.  After two years Cara moved to her second school Jumeirah College.

She has been involved in many initiatives since joining JC such as debating, under 16 basketball, Project Design club, the Duke of Edinburgh award and yoga. In her third year in Jumeirah College she was assistant Head of Year 11 and Well-Being Coordinator. She organized Anti-Bullying week, Children’s mental health week, Well-Being lessons delivered across the college and implemented a device free initiative at break time and lunch. In this role she was also responsible for monitoring attendance and punctuality in the school ensuring that the students were punctual every morning.  In January of 2021 she was awarded GEMS teacher of the month and in June Cara was promoted to Head of Year 7.

The main driving force of Cara’s career is making sure the well-being of each student in Jumeirah College is catered for, so that each young individual is given the tools to flourish and thrive to reach their true potentials.
