Mrs Heidi Godinho

Heidi graduated from the University of Newcastle in 2003, where she was awarded the Young Book Prize for outstanding achievement in Biology. She went on to study for her Post Graduate Diploma in Education at Durham University. Heidi began her teaching career at Cramlington Learning Village, which had a strong focus on innovation in teaching and learning. This helped shape her teaching style and embedded a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

During her teaching career, Heidi has held the roles of Head of Biology, Head of House and Wellbeing Coordinator. Heidi strongly believes student wellbeing, is at the heart of education and has always had a focus on the pastoral care of students. During her time as Wellbeing Coordinator, Jumeirah College was awarded the Wellbeing Award for Schools, which is an award developed in partnership with the National Children’s Bureau (NCB). Heidi was delighted to become Head of Year in 2019 and her aim is to create a learning environment where all students can flourish and grow.
