Session 1: How ICT can be used in learning languages for Years 10 to 13 (KS4 – KS5)

This session has two aims:
 
1.       Firstly we are going to see how the MFL department uses ICT in a range of ways to help students prepare for their exams while taking the initiative and developing independent study skills as part of their GCSE, AS and A-Level courses.
2.       A range of websites and other ICT resources covering Speaking, Reading, Listening and Writing will be introduced for you to help engage with your children’s learning and help them to become more independent with their studies. 

Session 2: Native Speakers of French and Spanish (all Years)

 Date: 25 January 2012

Time: 08.45am 

Teacher: Mrs Laura Trivic

Taking into account the different ages of students, this session will clarify how the College can meet the needs of students who learn French and Spanish and:

  • Use the Language as a first language
  • Have used the Language as a first language
  • Have spent a significant time in a country where the langauage is spoken

Session 3: National Curriculum Levels KS3 (Years 7-9) MFL Workshop

Date: 25 January 2012

Time: 10.00am

Teacher: Mrs Jacqui Ede and Ms Maria Blanco

This session is to help you understand how the National Curriculum Levels in MFL are used to monitor and assess students' progress in French and Spanish.
